March for Life Announces 2027 Theme: ‘The Truth Is Pro-Life’

The 54th annual National March for Life will take place in Washington, D.C., on Friday, January 22, 2027. This year’s theme is “The Truth Is Pro-Life.”

Last year’s theme, “Life is a Gift,” celebrated the joy and beauty of every human life. This year’s theme puts a greater emphasis on the facts and arguments that support the pro-life position.

March for Life explained that last year’s message spoke to the heart, while this year’s message will speak to the mind.

March planners say the theme invites people to ask hard questions, cut through the noise and learn the truth about abortion.

In a letter to marchers, organizers wrote, “This January, we’ll come together to proclaim one of the most important truths of all: every human life has inherent dignity and deserves protection.”

Every January, thousands of pro-life Americans, including families, students, church groups and advocates, gather in our nation’s capital to peacefully defend the dignity of human life.

The group gathers on the National Mall to rally together and then marches to the U.S. Capitol building and U.S. Supreme Court. 

The event is scheduled to start with a concert at 11 a.m. on the National Mall, followed by a rally at 12 p.m. and the march at approximately 1 p.m.

National March for Life organizers announced the keynote speaker for this year’s march is Clayton Kershaw, a former pitcher for the Los Angeles Dodgers, three-time World Series champion, National League MVP and three-time Cy Young award winner.

The organization is also preparing for its next chapter after President Jennie Bradley Lichter stepped down as president of the organization this summer to devote more time to her family.

Lichter explained that she and her husband are raising two tweens and a kindergartner, and her family needs more of her time and attention.

“My most important titles of all are not ‘President’—but ‘wife’ and ‘Mom,’” she wrote.

What a beautiful example of living out the family-first values she has spent her career defending.

Lichter will continue supporting the March for Life as a senior advisor. 

The organization’s board is searching for its next president.
